Congratulations to Melissa Chambers!

She recently competed and won Miss North Carolina International for 2008. Her platform is, “Dare to Dream”. She promotes the Kiwanis Club for children around the World. As she attends schools, civic groups, hospitals etc. where she is a motivational speaker to children and teens; Encouraging them to go for their Dreams. We are so very proud to have her here at Crossroads where She teaches girls in Missionettes to achieve their goals. Melissa is also one or our Rebakah Parker Scholarship Recipients who will be going to Jamaica in July.

The following candidates have been approved by Rebakah Parker Scholarship Committee to receive a $1088.00 toward a Mission trip to Montego Bay Jamaica July 8-15, 2008. They are:

Mellisa Chambers
Branken D. Shue
Sarah Sitton
Kathryn Chambers
Candace Jones.

These awards may be used as part-payment for each candidate attending a mission trip with Friends Forever Mission and Media Ministry located in Charlotte, North Carolina. The team will fly out of Charlotte, NC to Montego Bay, Jamaica.
