J. Michael Brown, Senior
PastorRev. J. Michael Brown: 23 years at Crossroads.
Born in Asheville and of a Southern Baptist background.
He began his tenure as a Sunday School Teacher, then
as Youth Pastor and at the young age of 24 became the Senior
Pastor in 1984. Michael brings to Crossroads visionary
leadership, practical, energetic, inspirational and insightful
preaching. His colloquial style is born out of his rich
mountain heritage. Many times his messages are conversational,
illustrative and humorous. His heart is to love God’s
people as a shepherd and to lead each person into God’s
highest purpose for their lives. His wife Debbie, of 25
years is a gifted teacher of God’s word, singer and
an exhorter. She is sensitive to the Holy Spirit and His
gifting. Debbie is known for her practical wisdom and kindness.
She has a desire to see every home touched by God. Together
Pastor Mike and Debbie have served in ministry for twenty-five
years. He and Debbie have two children, Matthew and Lindsey.

Bob Chuprevich, Pastoral
Care PastorDr. Robert J. Chuprevich: 18 years
at Crossroads. Bob is a skilled communicator at both
preaching and teaching. He brings to Crossroads biblical
and theological soundness. A talented athlete in college
landed him in the hall of fame. Born in Hartford, Conn.
Bob is of Russian Orthodox descent. Bob has three sons
and three hobbies; 1) golf, 2) golf and 3) golf.
Education: Bryant College BS; Western Carolina University
MS; Gordon-Conwell Seminary MA in Counseling; Erskine
Theological Seminary, DMin; Beeson Advance Leadership,
Asbury Theological Seminary. Over 30 years of ministry. |

Wade Zachary, Director
of MinistriesRev. Wade Zachary: 25years at Crossroads.
Wade is a witty and humorous communicator. He brings
to Crossroads managerial skills and conflict managements
skills. Wade is a native son born right here in jolly
ole’ Asheville. He was our youth pastor for 15
years. So, he knows how to manage a crowd and conflict.
Wade is of Southern Baptist descent. Wade’s wife
of 25 years is Brenda and they have a son. His hobbies
are working on the house, listening to music from the
70’s and being a student.
Education: Mars Hill College, BS; currently working toward
MBA Western Carolina University; 2-year degree Berean
University; completed Pastoral Care Course Memorial
Mission Hospital and serves as hospital chaplain. |

Glynn Bachelor, Worship PastorGlynn
Bachelor: Three years at Crossroads. Born in Tampa, Florida.
Glynn is the singer of the team and a highly talented musician.
Glynn is an incisive and detailed communicator. He brings
to Crossroads creativity and depth and years of successful
ministry both at a local and executive level. Glynn has
a Pentecostal Holiness background. Glynn is our California
Connection! He has been known to listen to the Beach Boys
in his truck. Glynn’s wife of 35 years is Michelle
and they have a daughter and two grandchildren. His hobbies
are: remodeling, cooking, and crossword puzzles.
Education: Southern Bible College of Houston, Texas AA
and BA; Graduate work at Southwestern College of Christian
Ministries, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Beeson Advance Leadership;
Asbury Theological Seminary; Served as senior pastor
in California 32 years. |

Lee Harmon, Youth PastorLee
Harmon: 10 years at Crossroads. Born in Asheville. Lee’s
messages are uniquely blended with humor and energy. His
cutting edge, “out of the box” ministry is
bold and raw and provokes a response. He brings to Crossroads
a spirit of evangelism. Lee’s passion and vision
is to empower teenagers to live at a higher level in God
through surrendering their lives to Jesus. Lee’s
wife Melissa of 10 years, is a vital part of his ministry.
They have three children, Addison, Whitney & Lindsey.
Education: Lee has studied at
Mars Hill College; A-B Tech College; Montreat College;
Berean School of The Bible. |

Isaac Owolabi, Evangelism
and Outreach DirectorDr. Isaac B. Owolabi: 10
years at Crossroads. Isaac was born in Nigeria. The name
Isaac means “laughter” and it doesn’t
take one long to recognize that Isaac knows how to laugh.
Isaac brings to Crossroads prayer ministry and joy. Isaac
is a tremendous preacher and minister. Isaac's wife
is Abigail and they have three sons and one daughter.
Isaac enjoys fishing, hiking and travel.
Education: University of Wisconsin, BA and MS; University
of Minnesota PhD; Additional coursework from Western
Carolina University; Global University of Assemblies
of God. 15 years of college administration, 20 years
college instructor, 20 years of ministry. |
